Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished professor of psychology since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and utilizing child victims to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer and has been awarded numerous prizes and grants. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the globe on policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is also a Fellow in the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions, Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
